I recommend everyone check out Graphic Audio, a company that dramatizes books. The characters are played by voice actors, with sound effects and music to back them up. The narration is kept in tact. Some of my favorites include The Light Bringer Series by Brent Weeks, The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson, The Demon Cycle by Peter V. Brett, and several Marvel titles like Deadpool, Guardians of the Galaxy. They also have some good Batman stories, Like Batman No Man's Land. And plenty of westerns if you're into that.

When I was thinking about re-reading some of Brandon Sanderson's books I wound up getting Warbreaker and Elantris off graphic audio and listening to them instead and it was magical.
Real question, Goodreads: why don't you ever include young adult in posts like these? There's an Audie for YA and other kidlit categories, but you left those out of this post. Children's lit is massively popular. It would be awesome if you'd show off those titles to your users more often.Also, Gemina (Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff) is brilliant.

And the actors are generally brilliant. So awesome to find another GA fan.
I just finished Himself by Jess Kidd. The prose is wonderful and well acted by narrator Aidan Kelly. Highly recommend!
Theft by Finding: Diaries 1977-2002 by David Sedaris...anything by David Sedaris. He reads it himself, which is appropriate since his books are personal essays.
M/M Romance "As You Wish" (Shatterproof Bond #1) by Isobel Starling, Narrated by Gary Furlong. The second book is out too and the third will be out in a few weeks. Amazing narration.
Edgar and Lucy by Victor Lodato-----------read by the author. Winner of the 2016 Bellwether Prize------superbly read and written. Excellent choice for discussion book.
I listen to a lot of books but have a problem with Graphic Audio productions. All those sound effects and music distract me, like noise. But I'm glad they have a lot of fans because it's truly a great production effort. I gave them two tries so far, maybe third will be the charm.
